Objectives

The Fourth Türkiye-Africa Economy and Business Forum, co-organized by the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Türkiye and the Department of Economic Development, Trade, Tourism, Industry and Minerals of the African Union Commission, will provide a unique platform for the highest level policy dialogue between African countries and Türkiye as well as a means for interaction between their business spheres leading to stronger links and networks.

The Forum will provide an opportunity for eminent representatives of public and private sector actors to discuss and jointly identify a set of recommendations for scaling up private sector engagement for inclusive growth and development. The recommendations originating from this forum are expected to feed into and enrich the next Africa-Türkiye Partnership Summit discussions and to pave way for sustainable win-win socio-economic relationship.

The two Sides aim particularly at:

  • Raising the awareness of Turkish/African business circles about the investment and business opportunities in Africa and Türkiye;
  • Raising awareness on the African Continental Free Trade Agreement (AfCFTA) and its reflections for public and private sector;
  • Identifying possible future directions for Türkiye-Africa partnership within the trade, investments nexus;
  • Channeling private sector of Türkiye and of African countries towards commercial, industrial and technological partnerships;
  • Increasing interaction among the business communities of Türkiye and Africa;
  • Strengthening dialogue platform with African Regional Economic Communities
