H.E. Recep Tayyip ERDOGAN, President of the Republic of Turkey
“We would like to win together, succeed together and walk together with Africa.”
Turkey and Africa used to seem far away from one another unfortunately despite their shared history dating back more than a thousand years. There used to be many artificial barriers placed between Turkey and Africa, with prejudices eclipsing the truth. We got started by first tearing down these prejudices. We have built bridges from heart to heart between our nation and the peoples of Africa. The essence of our relations with Africa is sincerity, brotherhood and solidarity.
H.E. Dr. Mehmet MUS, Minister of Trade of the Republic of Turkey
“Deepening the Turkey-Africa Partnership”
The long-standing partnership and cooperation between Turkey and Africa continues at an increasing pace. We aim to elevate the current partnership to higher levels with the contribution of business people from Turkey and African countries. Turkey is ready to provide any contribution to the development process of Africa.
With this objective, the Forum will provide a platform for the business people of Turkey and African countries to meet and further develop cooperation in commercial and economic fields. This Forum will pave the way for strengthening of the economies of Turkey and African Countries in the post-pandemic era.

“Africa-Turkey cooperation working jointly in shaping an economically progressive future of the people of Africa and Turkey”
It is with great pleasure that I welcome all of you to this Third Turkey-Africa Economic and Business Forum which is organized under the theme “Deepening Turkey-Africa Partnership: Trade, Investment, Technology & Logistics”.
This Forum provides us yet again with a golden opportunity to underscore the increasing socio-economic dynamism of Africa-Turkey Cooperation hinged on a “win-win” principle. Moreover, it demonstrates the emerging role of Africa as a dynamic player in the global business landscape.
The choice of the theme is a clear recognition of the importance that the African Union attaches to the Africa-Turkey Cooperation working jointly in shaping an economically progressive future of the people of Africa and Turkey. Logistics goes hand in hand to trade and investment, and attaches great importance in the market competitiveness of countries. With the achievement of the Africa continental Free Trade Area and increasing global trade simultaneously requires constant progress in logistics including transport technologies so that the performance of logistics infrastructure becomes an essential requirement for foreign investors to operate efficiently.
Mr. Nail OLPAK, President of Foreign Economic Relations Board of Turkey (DEiK)
“Turkey & Africa investing in Sustainable Future Together”
Since last year, we all have realized the importance of multilateralism and global solidarity. And, we have started to talk more about glocalization than globalization. In this regard, the strategic partnership of mutual-benefit and common development between Turkey and African countries has continued and has been more prioritized. Last year, online edition of TABEF provided virtual platform to discuss the challenges and urgent needs of the countries as well as bilateral business meetings both for Turkish and African private sector. And, this year in Istanbul, we are excited to meet once again to do business in person and strengthen our economic ties that will improve trade, investment, innovation, and job creation.
